It’s December 1st and guess where I am? Hitting the shops!
Well, hopefully, I am. I’ll just have had round 2 of major dental work done yesterday and I might be too ‘delicate’ to venture outside. But right now, as I type, 2 days before, sipping my Rooibos & Caramel Herbal Tea, I’m thinking yes… I’ll hit the shops!
Normally by now, I’m one of those smug people who have all their Christmas presents bought [mostly online in fairness], but this year, life had other plans for me and I’ve not even drawn up a list yet! So today is the day people. Today I get organised for Christmas! I’ve pulled the [somewhat dusty] Christmas Planner out of its box and I’m doing a mental count of the people I’ll have to buy for.
In reality, I tend to do most of my shopping online, but I do like to have a look around the shops and soak up some of the atmosphere… early on… very early on. I can’t be dealing with all the crowds and the buggies and the people and the cold!
So with Christmas presents in mind and the fact that I am literally drawing a blank on what to get practically everyone [bar myself of course… I could fill several trollies with what I want!] I’ve turned to the gift guides and some of my ‘go to’ and some ‘new to me’ websites for inspiration.
So I’ve spent most of the morning on Aquaruby, they sell designer Jewellery and Gifts. I’ve filled an imaginary cart of practically everything they sell for myself! But I’ve also got some great ideas and things in a shopping cart for friends and family.

Christmas Gift Ideas for Mums
For any occasion, not just Christmas, I welcome any ideas on what to buy the two mums in my life. My own is a ‘mum on the go’ with a packed schedule and a million and one things to think of! So one of Family Diaries would be perfect for her! My mother in law is an amazing Farmer who really enjoys a cup of tea. Living on a farm, surrounded by men, I think one of the Bombay Duck Alphabet Mugs would make a little moment, a little more hers! And I think both would love the Orla Kiely Lavender Diffuser to help them unwind after a busy day.
Which of these gifts would suit your mum best? Don’t worry, links* are below 🙂

Katie Loxton Pale Blue Blanket Scarf €31/ £27
