It’s fair to say that I’ve always been a heavyset gal. There were a brief few years from about 16-21 that I had a fabulous figure; I just didn’t realise it. This year 2020, I set myself the single goal of losing weight. FOUR stone to be exact. On January 8th, 2020 I joined Slimming World.

On January 8th 2020 I weighed 16st 0.5lbs

I know, that’s a lot, given that I am 5 foot 6 inches – not a tall individual by any stretch. I was officially morbidly obese, hypertensive, have PCOS and a few other medical issues that I wont go into now.

Today, the day I’m starting this challenge is May 20th 2020, today I weight 13st 5.5lbs … I am a whole 2st 9lbs lighter. I feel bloody amazing. Today I am 1st 5.5lbs from my initial target.

Here is where my challenge starts!

In 35 days [on June 24th] it will be my birthday. I have rather ambitiously challenged myself to loose 1st 5.5lbs in 35 days.

That’s 19.5lbs in 5 weeks. That’s 3.9lbs [lets say 4lbs] a week. Now there is a challenge. But IMAGINE the result! I’m currently the lightest I have been for almost 16 years. My husband has never seen me this slim.

In blog posts, which I’ll also link below, I am going to share with you, what my plan is, what I am eating, and most importantly how I am doing. Trust me, I know this is ambitious, but you know the saying, ‘aim for the moon and even if you only fall among the stars you’ll achieve greatness’?…THAT. Even if I’m still a few lbs off by June 24th it will have been a bloody great achievement and a great way to spend 5 weeks of my time!
